Rolando comes to the Arizona Select Family in 2022 by way of a variety of coaching stops at the college level. With stops at his alma mater, NAIA- Clarke University (IA) where he served as Recruiting Coordinator 2017-2018, under Coach Dan Spain. Next, Sanchez would join, fellow Clarke (IA) alum, head coach Brian McCabe at Benedictine University Mesa, where he served as Assistant Coach and recruiting coordinator 2019 & 2021 seasons. In between the two stints, Sanchez served under legendary coach Jason Gonzales, as an assistant at Texas A&M University - Kingsville, where he worked specifically with Catchers and Hitters. The COVID shorten seasoned gave Sanchez a chance to return to Ben U Mesa for the 2021 season.

Sanchez spent two summers coaching for the Peninsula Oilers in the Alaska Baseball League (ABL) 2018 & 2019.

Before coaching at the collegiate ranks, Sanchez coached at the High School level for 3 seasons. Two seasons with Montgomery HS ( San Diego, CA) 2015-2016 and One Season at Mar Vista HS (Imperial Beach, CA) 2017.

Prior to coaching, Sanchez played his collegiate years at Dakota Wesleyan University (SD)(2009-2010) where he was a All-Conference selection in 2010 and helped the Tigers to a 2009 Conference Tournament Championship and NAIA regional appearance.

In Fall of 2010, Sanchez would transfer and eventually graduate from Clarke University (IA), where he was a 1st Team MCC selection, all academic all-conference, and would help the Crusaders to a, then, school record in wins.

Professionally , Sanchez signed independent league contracts with the Santa Fe Fuego and the Grays Harbor Gulls.

Sanchez is also known around the area for his job as Scouting Director for Baseball Showcase in 2020-2021.
